Motor-Driven Roller Conveyor for Custom Application
Discover motor-driven roller conveyors designed to redefine efficiency, reliability, and precision. Whether your needs are to retrofit an existing conveyor line with motor-driven conveyor equipment or a new system for handling unique products, Industrial Kinetics can design a custom system for your specific application.
Motor-Driven Roller (MDR) Conveyor systems operate by using individual “motorized rollers” that drive neighboring rollers through a connecting band. Each section (or motorized roller) is governed by a drive card, essentially a controller that takes in 24VDC power and directs it to the roller based on inputs from a PLC or a nearby sensor.
Drive cards come in various types, depending on the level of ‘intelligence’ needed for the specific conveyor line. The most rudimentary card activates and deactivates the roller relying on inputs from either a PLC or a direct sensor connection. For more advanced functions like accumulation, a subsequent card in the lineup can process information from neighboring zones, enabling it to form groups, accumulate, single out, or simply transport items. The most advanced card can manage up to four rollers, interfacing with multiple sensors and a PLC.
