Food Packaging & Transportation Conveyors

For over 40 years, Industrial Kinetics has been a leading food packaging conveyor & transportation conveyors manufacturer of case packages for the storage and distribution part of the process. Our line of  food packaging conveyors & transportation conveyors have the capability to move packaged and wrapped products efficiently and effectively. We offer installation services with all our systems along with innovative, turnkey assembly manufacturing solutions.

We manufacture customized food packaging conveyor & transportation conveyor solutions for specific needs as opposed to other conveyor manufacturers who typically provide a catalog of standard conveyors. Our conveyors are engineered to safely move the lightest finished product to moving full, heavier loads of food products. Conveyors that Industrial Kinetics provides meet NSF and 3-A Sanitary Standards food safety requirements.

After the food product is wrapped or packed, it can be moved along a conveyor that we can provide which could include a custom system or standard conveyor equipment. These conveyor lines are typically roller or belt conveyors.

Common Food Manufacturing & Transportation Conveyor Types

  • Pallet Dispenser & Collectors
    • Pallet dispensers and collectors eliminate much of the manual handling of pallets with a forklift or pallet jack, creating a more efficient work flow and reducing labor costs. The dispenser feeds an empty pallet to the conveying line for robotic palletizers or manual loading. Pallet collectors are fed empty pallets from a conveyor line. When the pallet collector has reached its capacity of empty pallets, a forklift operator removes the stack of empty pallets and puts it in the pallet dispenser or in an inventory location.
  • Pallet Conveyors
    • The pallet conveyor transports food loads on pallets or skids. The conveying surface is typically rollers or multiple of strands of chain. The typical capacity of these conveyors is 50,000 lbs and the typical width is 48”. Change directions of pallets on this type of conveyor is accomplished with a turntable, roller and chain transfer, or turning cross conveyor.
  • Transfer Cars
    • Transfer cars are used to divert or merge food processing loads between multiple conveyor lines. Common applications that incorporate transfer cars include delivering product to assembly line workstations, moving loaded pallets from multiple palletizers to a common stretch wrapper. The use of a transfer car can eliminate conventional conveyors and transfers that would be needed to accomplish the same task, reducing the initial investment and future maintenance costs.
  • Belt
    • Package or Unit Belt Conveyors are typically a flat belt running on a slider bed or roller bed conveyor frame. The rollers under the belt that support the belt and product weight can be 1.9" diameter rollers, or 2-1/2" / 2-5/8" diameter rollers. Many belt conveyor options that are application specific are turning devices, toughing angles or idlers, print and apply labeling, and pushers for sortation.
  • Live Roller
    • The belt driven live roller conveyor line is designed as a package-handling product. We are equipped to handle boxes and totes up to 100 lbs/ft and at speeds of 60-320 feet per minute. This conveyor type is typically used in shipping/receiving applications.
  • Modular Plastic Belt
    • Modular plastic belt conveyors form a belt using hinged, interlocking plastic segments. These are sprocket-driven low-tension conveyors that use fewer pulleys than other conveyor system options, enabling greater design freedom. The plastic segments are easily removable, allowing for standard, cleated, open-air, and wash-down setups when necessary.
