Our photo this month is the chain used in our chain conveyors. The noticeable difference between the conveyance chain such as this and the chain used to drive rollers is the shape of the chain link plates. Conveyance chains have a flat-shaped link plate, rather than a dog bone shaped link plate. Chain conveyors are the ideal choice for moving loads where the base (such as a pallet) is strong enough to support the load between the two chains, and orientation is compatible with multiple strand chain support. This is a common selection with GMA pallets handled with the narrow side leading.
